Workspaces and Separate Windows

Workspaces

Allows you to manually save and load the main feature window layout information.
Positions and sizes of all components within the window can be saved and restored.

Supports multiple layouts (workspaces).

 

The workspaces menu has the following buttons:

 
Capture Workspace


Click this button to capture current window's layout.
As you can have many different workspaces of one window, you will be asked to enter the workspace name so you can recognize the workspace later.

Captured workspace will be listed in the menu below menu buttons.

 

Workspaces


Click on this button to open a workspaces manager window.
Your all workspaces are listed on the left side of window.
On the right side of window there are the following buttons:

 

Apply Workspace

Applies the selected workspace to the target window.

 

Load Workspace
Normally the software handles workspace saving itself, but using workspaces manager you can also save and load workspaces from disk

Loads a workspace from the specified file and adds it to the workspaces collection under the specified name.

Remove Workspace
Removes the selected workspace

Removes All Workspaces
Removes all the workspaces
 
Save Workspace
Saves selected workspace to disk under the selected workspace's name

Save Workspace As
Saves selected workspace to disk under the specified workspace name

 


Workspaces works also with navigation pane separate windows.

Separate Windows are the pages from the navigation pane that can be opened within the main area of main feature window.
By checking or unchecking this options the pages can be moved to the main area and back to the navigation pane.
After you will have some of pages moved to the main window area you can further move them around the window as is described in Docking Windows topic.
