Here below are the options that you must set when you want to use built-in software messaging or emailing capabilities.
Those options will allow the software to send a text message to your phone or an email without using any external programs.
If you prefer to use your default software installed on your computer then check the Use default email program on computer option.
You can refer to your computer default email program's settings for more information.
Those options are used when you want to email or text lottery tickets generated by this software
One set of options is used with messages the other one with emails, you can set the same email addresses and host settings in both.

 

 
Sender email address

Your email address from which an email or text is sent, the sender's email address is typically displayed in the "From" field.
This can be any of your emails you have.
 

Sender description

A sender email address description typically includes details about the entity or individual sending an email. It is a textual representation or explanation of the email address, providing context about who the sender is.
This description may include the sender's name, organization, or any additional information that helps the recipient identify and understand the source of the email
For example, a sender email address description could look like this:
Sender Email Address: john.doe@example.com Description: John Doe, XYZ Corporation

This option is optional, and message or text can be sent without it.
 

Host name

A host name is a name of your Internet provider email server, for example:
smtp.comcast.net
smtp.mail.att.net

You can use any host if you know how to connect to the host and have the credentials to set below.
 

Sender host port

Port number used by your host to send emails

 

Sender email host password

Your password for the email set in Sender email address option

 

Sender email host user name

Usually the user name is not necessary to use as your email address serves as an user name, but if you have a different user name  then you can enter it here.

 

Phone number

This option only applies to messages
 

Your mobile phone number where you want to send your message
For the phone number syntax please refer to your mobile provider, it looks almost as the regular email address, but instead of your name you put your phone numbers before @.

An example is the phone number to text to AT&T cell.
xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net
The syntax contains your phone number without any spaces or dashes @ your provider texting domain.

In order to work some providers require to enable email-to-text service in your account.

 

Use default email program on computer

By enabling this option you can use your computer's email software

You must only set up Sender email address, Phone number when texting or Recipient email address when emailing.
Optionally you can set Sender description option.

Thickets numbers, your addresses from and to will be passed to your software

 

Recipient email address

This option only applies to emails

 

Email address to which an email message is sent.

 

Recipient description

This option only applies to emails
 

it is the same as Sender description but applies to describe the email recipient

 

Timeout

A "host server timeout" typically refers to the amount of time a server is willing to wait for a response from another server or client before considering the connection or operation as unsuccessful.
In the context of web servers, applications, or network communication, timeout settings are crucial for managing efficiency and preventing indefinite delays.
Setting appropriate timeout values is crucial for maintaining the responsiveness and reliability of a system. Too short of a timeout might result in premature failures, while too long of a timeout could lead to delays in detecting and handling issues.

The default timeout set by the software is 10000 milliseconds, the timeout if necessary to be changed it needs to be set in milliseconds.
