The Database Management & maintenance feature is dedicated to managing software database files.
To open a its window click on the Database Management button found at main software window ribbon bar in Software\Tools group.
Our program supports the following database types: SQLite, Microsoft SQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL

Save Database Settings
Unlike other software features which save all the data automatically, here you must save any changes you made manually.
When you click this button you save only Database Type selection made on databases list on the left side of the window.
To save database connection settings you must click another Save button located on server settings page on the right side of the window.
Create New
To create a new database follow these steps
1. On the list of databases, check the database you want to create.
2. Select the database type, you must have the database server options already set and tested for connection if can be established.
3. Do not click the Save Database Settings button on the toolbar, this will check if database exists and settings can be saved, but maybe we do not have the database yet.
4. Click this button to begin.
5. After database is successfully created and If you want to have the new database used by the software, click Save Database Settings now, otherwise the program will use current database type.
When to use:
1. If for some reason becomes corrupted or if you want to start over, and it will quickly wipe out all the data.
2. Also you need to use this to create a database for the first time after you install database server system like MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL server.
3. After you set database to use on Network computer and database do not exist there.
Not all databases can be overwritten, our internal databases cannot be, but you can use them on different servers, use the migrate data methods from Migrate Data Menu. Please see below at the end of the topic for more information about our databases.
Please note that this command works with that database type, which is selected on databases list, on the left side of the window.
Test Connection
Checks selected databases if they are online and you can connect to database's server and the database too.
If you have made any changes to database server settings you must save the changes by clicking on Save Settings button, otherwise you will test connection to database with old settings.
Migrate Data Menu
In this menu are commands that let you migrate the selected databases data to other databases type.
For example, when you have the database 'Wheel 6X User' which is a SQLIte database, and you want to migrate the data to Microsoft SQL Server you can do it here.
Please follow these steps
1. Select the database with mouse
2. On the right side of the window set up the destination database server properties .
Select the tab to what kind of database you want to migrate the data. Set the database server data
Click the Save button to save the server data.
3. Check the selected database check mark.
4. From Migrate Data Menu click one of the buttons.. Migrate to SQL, Migrate to MySQL, Migrate To SQLite or Migrate To PostgreSQL
The destination databases on their servers will be automatically created and data transferred.
Backup
Creates a backup of checked database to your backup folder. We recommend using this function periodically to create a copy of all databases.
Your backup destination can be changed at the right side of window, where all servers' settings are.
You can backup to local folder, network drive or folder and to ftp server.
You can enter ftp server addresses, but please make sure that the server address entered here matches the host address property set at FTP options.
Restore
Restores database from your backup. The databases are restored from your Backup location to Data Folder.
Database Settings
On the right side of the window you can set required settings for database connection.
Click on the tab with database type name to display their settings page.
Please note that only those options will be shown which are applicable for selected database type
On the top of server settings page there are two buttons:
Test Connection
Checks if database or server is connectable.
Save Settings
Click this button to save settings you are editing.
On Network
You can use databases locally or you can move them to a network location.
Please check this option when your database is located on network, otherwise keep un-check if your databases are on your computer.
Database files may be shared across a network using a network file system.
In a case the software will not be able to access database on network it will automatically switch to local database on the software startup.
Server
Please enter server name. It could be local or network server address.
Applies only to Microsoft SQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Port
Enter here server port. Applies only MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Authentication Mode
Select server Authentication mode, applies only to Microsoft SQL
Username
Enter here a username you set up when you installed your server or server instance
Password
Enter here a password which you set up when you installed your server or server instance on computer.
This will be required to use our databases on your server.
Confirm Password
Enter here again password to confirm
Data Folder
Here you can enter or select folder where you want to keep database files.
To select a folder please click on the first small folder icon on the right edge of text box.
When you click the second folder icon, your computer's file browser window will open and show database data folder.
Backup Location
Here you can enter or select folder where you want to keep database backup files.
To select a folder please click on the first small folder icon on the right edge of text box.
When you click the second folder icon, your computer's file browser window will open and show database data folder.
Our Databases
File Manager
This database has all the data belonging to the data related to the files on disk.
Internal Software Database
Stores all software servers and databases settings.
Languages
All interface captions and messages in English.
Languages Packs
All interface captions and messages with other languages.
Lottery Financial Statistics
Stores all users gaming data.
Lottery Numbers (Drawings)
All lottery numbers from all games.
Lottery Numbers (Exceptions)
All games data used by Lottery Manager to store exceptions.
My Lottery Games
Stores all user games.
Software Images
Internal database, not intended to be edited by user.
Software Options
Stores all options and interface layouts data
User Data
All user's data only, created tickets, filters, wheels systems replacements, numbers reports and my choices from Visual Analyser
Wheel Systems List
All wheel systems properties.

All wheel systems properties created by user.
